Abstract

|
As the rare but almost fatal early complication of the retro-colic gastro-jejunostomy with partial gastrectomy, one case of retro-anastomotic hernia was experieced with the the fair management and reviewed the literatures of similar retrostomal hernia, since Petersen,W. reported them in 1900. for the first.
That is, pathophysiological significance and anatomical charcteristics of the internal carrying afferent or efferent jejunal loop obstruction were discussed to contribute its early definite diagnosis with proper management especially for the prevention of recurrence and at the same time, the prophylactic measurement. And the routine closure of internal hernial rings formed by posterior gastro-jejunal anastomosis with partial gastrectomy was strongly recommanded for the prophylactic measurement.
